Our trained family planning nurses and doctors will give you advice and help you choose a method which is most appropriate for you. They will take your personal circumstances and preferences into account when making a recommendation.

Contraception and family planning at Archway Medical Centre

If you are happy on the contraception you are on and simply need a prescription for the pill our clinicians will send this to a pharmacy of your choice after speaking with you and taking your clinical history. Our contraception service is all done online to avoid the need for you taking time off work or visiting a GP Practice. It is free of charge and provided by the NHS.

No, all the advice we give you is free of charge provided to you on the NHS.

Can contraception be obtained online or will I need to use the Archway Medical Centre clinic?

All your treatment and advice will be done online. You won't have to visit our clinic however you may need to have your blood pressure recorded at your local pharmacy or you may want to buy a BP machine which costs about £20.

Most of your treatment will be given digitally, however if you need to see a Doctor or Nurse in-person we’ll arrange a consultation at our North London clinic or an NHS clinic near you if one is available.
